Mercht – an awesome way to release merch
Everyones favourite screen print studio Awesome Merch recently released their art platform Mercht. The platform offers an opportunity for designers, illustrators, companies to create and sell their own merch without any upfront costs of risk of sitting on boxes of unsold merch. (I’m probably going to be using the word merch a lot in this blog.) It’s a little bit like kickstarter for anybody unfamiliar with it.
So this is how it works. When you have a design you’d like to release, as a designer you upload it to Mercht. Once the design is live on the website you then have to reach a goal of pre-orders in order for that design to be printed. If the design reaches the set goal or pre-orders, it is then printed. All the t-shirts are screen printed on high quality t-shirts using the reliable print services of Awesome Merch.
Anyway.. I’m releasing some merch (merch, merch, merch, merch, merch) This is to celebrate the launch of my new site and my new adventure to Asia. I’m bringing back (like anybody cares) the design which I launched last year as a sew on patch which will now be screen printed on to a t-shirt, Bart Simpson Squishee Back print t-shirt and a Mr Sparkle Tote Bag. So all you Simpsons fans out there, please help me out by supporting these campaigns here and pre-order your favourite. Worldwide shipping is offered so don’t be afraid to order if you ain’t form the good ol U.K!
